Comparing a probiotic with a prebiotic is like comparing apples and oranges; they’re both fruit but they don’t look or taste the same. Pre- and probiotics both work in the gut but they do different things. A probiotic supplement contains strains of beneficial bacteria whereas a prebiotic supplement is a substance that feeds and nourishes the friendly bacteria already in living in your gut. It is fine to take either of these products individually or in combination. There’s a constant channel of communication between your gut and brain known as the gut-brain connection (or the gut-brain axis). The “talking” is done by nerve signals travelling up and down the vagus nerve (a large nerve that runs from the brain down through the digestive tract), and chemical messengers produced by microbes in the gut. It’s a complex network of messages that influences everything from anxiety and mood balance to cognition and pain [7]. When taken as directed, our Advanced Biotic is well tolerated. However, do bear in mind that live bacteria can temporarily disturb the balance of microbes already present in your gut. This can sometimes cause some short-lived wind, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. If this is uncomfortable, we recommend you reduce the dosage to 1 capsule per day until the symptoms have eased.

We aim to dispatch weekday orders placed before 1pm on the same day using Royal Mail Tracked services. Standard delivery aims for 2–4 working days. Express delivery aims for 1–2 working days.

Choose the subscription option before adding the product to your basket, then select how often you want it delivered. The current subscription options are every 30, 60 or 90 days. Your payment details are stored securely and you are charged for each repeat delivery unless you change, pause or cancel before the next order is processed.

Yes. Log in to your account, open the Subscriptions tab and choose Manage Subscription. From there you can change, pause or cancel your subscription. Changes apply to future subscription orders only.

Match the delivery frequency to how quickly you use the product. If you want fewer parcels, you can order more bottles and choose a longer frequency, such as 3 bottles every 90 days, which gives you free delivery.

No. Unless a product page or offer clearly says otherwise, standard subscriptions do not have a fixed minimum term. You are only responsible for orders that have already been processed before your change or cancellation request is received.

Standard UK delivery is £3.99, or free when your UK order is over £50. Express delivery is £4.99, or £2.49 when your UK order is over £50. Final delivery options and costs are shown at checkout before you place your order.

You can return unused products within 30 days of receiving your order. Refunds are processed after the goods are received back and are for the amount paid, excluding postage, unless the product is faulty. Returned products must be unused, unopened and in good condition.

If something is not right, contact us within 30 days and we will help with the next step. For returns, unused products should be sent back in their original, unopened packaging so the refund can be processed correctly.
